GUNG 101: Finding Your Ring Size
Feb 14,2023 | Gung Admin
Tired of getting your new rings only to realise you got the wrong size? It’s 2023, let’s change that. Determining your ring size is a simple process and here are some methods and tips to do it right!
The String/Paper Method
All you need for this is some non-stretchy string or a strip of paper. Wrap the string/paper around your finger and mark the point where it overlaps. Measure the length of string/paper with a ruler and cross-reference with the chart below to find the right size.
Pro tip: Don’t wrap your finger too tightly to avoid getting an inaccurate measurement.
Measure An Existing Ring
If you’ve got an existing ring that already fits you perfectly, get its diameter by measuring straight across the inside of the ring from edge to edge. Reference the chart below to get your size.
Extra Tips & Tricks
- Measure the finger that you wear rings on most often.
- Measure your fingers at the end of the day when they’re at their largest.
- Make sure your hands are warm because a cold environment can cause your fingers to shrink.
- Alcohol and salt can cause your fingers to swell, so avoid measuring them right after eating and drinking.
